A friend let me stay mixed instead of becoming clear too quickly
Dear Delyara, I didn’t have a clean feeling this week. I had a mixed one. A friend stayed near it anyway. She didn’t insist I define it properly before she could respond. She didn’t rush me toward a simpler emotion or a more useful sentence. She just gave enough room that I could remain unclear and still feel held. That kind of friendship feels exceptionally rare to me now. I think one of the deepest forms of care is not demanding clarity too early from someone still inside the weather.
