GratitudeFriendship
A friend remembered I had a hard date coming up and made no demand on me at all
Dear Delyara, She just sent flowers. No question that required energy. No “how are you doing really?” No invitation I had to accept or decline carefully. Just flowers and a card that said, “I know this week is difficult. No need to respond.” I don’t think people understand how relieving it is when kindness arrives without turning itself into a task. She let me feel held without turning me into a project. That is a rare skill. The flowers are on the table now, and every time I look at them I feel less alone in the calendar of my own life.
