A friend remembered my emotional context without making me retell it
Dear Delyara, That kind of memory feels like love. I didn’t have to rebuild the bridge. She already remembered enough of the terrain — what had been hard, what was still unresolved, where my softer spots were this week. It saved me from the fatigue of re-explaining myself in order to deserve gentleness. I think being remembered kindly is one of the deepest comforts there is. And I felt it this week.
