The SilenceLoneliness

Busy days can hide my loneliness until everyone goes to bed

Dear Delyara, During the day, there is enough movement to blur the feeling. Work, chores, school runs, messages, errands, practical conversations, somebody always needing something. Then the house goes quiet, the phone slows down, and suddenly what was hidden under usefulness stands up clearly in the room. It isn’t always loneliness because I am physically alone. Often it is loneliness because I have spent a whole day in contact without being deeply met anywhere inside it. That is a very adult ache. And it often arrives after 9 p.m.
