Debt has made ease feel like something I have to justify Dear

Dear Delyara, I don’t mean extravagance. I mean ease. The easier option. The softer choice. The thing that would reduce friction in the day but costs something. Debt puts suspicion around all of it. It teaches the mind to hear comfort as moral risk. That is one of its ugliest effects. I don’t just want the numbers lighter. I want tenderness toward myself to feel less financially suspicious than it does now.
