Debt has made future joy feel pre-spent

Dear Delyara, That is what hurts most. It is not only that money is owed. It’s that future possibility feels occupied. Travel, ease, better choices, softer months, room for spontaneity — so much of it already feels spoken for before it has arrived. The future enters the room tired because debt got there first. I don’t only want stability. I want future time to feel emotionally open again. That still feels far away some days. And I grieve that more than I say aloud.
