Debt makes tenderness toward myself feel harder to justify

Dear Delyara, When money is tight in the wrong way, softness starts feeling negotiable. Do I need this? Can I skip this? Should I be stricter? Would a more disciplined person deny themselves more? Debt does not just change what you buy. It changes the emotional permission around comfort itself. I’m tired of comfort feeling like it has to pass through a moral filter before it reaches me. That atmosphere is exhausting.
