Distance

Dear Delyara, My daughter looked at me today with so much resentment that I had to turn away. I thought I was protecting her by being strict, but I realized I’ve only succeeded in building a wall she no longer wants to climb. We live in the same house, eat at the same table, but we haven't had a real conversation in six months. I lie awake wondering where I went wrong, replaying every argument in my head. I want to reach out and hug her, but the silence between us has become a physical barrier. I’m losing her, and I don't know how to find the words to bring her back.
