The WeightGuilt
Even my healthiest choices still arrive with a little guilt attached
Dear Delyara, A quieter evening. A slower reply. A cancelled plan. An earlier bedtime. Saying no. Leaving the group chat alone. Closing the bedroom door. Turning the phone over. All sensible. All often necessary. And still guilt appears anyway, like a small unpleasant receipt tucked into the act itself. I think I have lived too long in a system that treated access to me as the measure of goodness. Changing that system takes more than logic. It takes repetition, and I am still mid-way through that work.
