For once, bedtime did not feel like collapse. It felt like arrival.

Dear Delyara, So many nights I fall into bed more like a dropped object than a person arriving anywhere. Too tired, too mentally noisy, too half-inside the next day already. But last night was different. The house was settled, the phone was away, there was no unfinished emotional argument running in the background, and when I lay down, my body did not feel chased. It felt like I had arrived somewhere. I didn’t realize how rare that has become until I felt it again.
