GratitudeInner Peace
For one hour, I did not feel pursued by the unfinished
Dear Delyara, No email tapping at the edge of me. No undone chore glowing in my mind. No tomorrow-task arriving early. No low-level internal instruction to get up, sort it, answer it, fix it, prepare it, think ahead. Just one hour where the unfinished stayed at a respectful distance and I was allowed to remain where I was. I made tea. I read. I looked out of the window twice. That was all. The hour passed quietly, and because it was quiet, it felt almost enormous. I want more of my life to contain that kind of peace. Not dramatic. Not spiritual in any showy way. Just unpursued.
