For one hour, I stopped auditing myself and just lived the evening

Dear Delyara, No review of my tone. No replay of the day. No measuring whether I had done enough, said enough, mothered well enough, worked hard enough, rested appropriately enough, remembered enough, forgotten too much. I just made tea, sat in the chair, and let the evening remain the evening. That should not feel rare. It did. Maybe peace for me now is not grand or spiritual or photogenic. Maybe it is simply one hour without self-surveillance. If so, I had it this week. And I am grateful for it.
