The PlotCareer
I am afraid I have built skill around surviving what drains me
Dear Delyara, This thought keeps returning. I know how to survive certain environments very well. I know how to adapt, continue, function, stay useful, read expectations, carry pressure, and not visibly collapse. That competence has protected me in many ways. It may also have kept me in places longer than was good for me. If you become too skilled at surviving what drains you, you can mistake survival for fit. That possibility has started unsettling me more than I expected. I don’t have a clear answer yet. Only the question.
