I am angry that my sister recovered

Dear Delyara, My sister and I both had eating disorders. Hers became much more severe. For years, our family revolved around hospitals, treatment, fear. I was the “well one” because I kept functioning. Nobody noticed that I was also sick. My sister recovered. Truly. She eats normally, travels, has a child, speaks publicly about recovery. I am proud of her. I am also furious. When she posts about freedom from food, something ugly inside me says, You got all the help. I know that is unfair. She nearly died. She deserved every treatment. My illness remained quieter partly because I hid it better. Yesterday, she told me gently that she is worried about how much weight I have lost. I snapped that not everything is about her expertise. She cried. I apologized. I hate that her recovery has become a mirror showing how long I have stayed sick while everyone assumed surviving beside her meant I was fine.
