I am beginning to suspect I keep postponing the life I want

Dear Delyara, That possibility makes me feel trapped in a very particular way. It’s not that I lack ideas. I have them. It’s not even that I lack desire. I still want more. What I lack is usable energy after the daily life is done taking its portion. Work, family, money, house, emotional recovery, all the little practical duties that sound manageable when listed one by one and become everything when lived together. By the end of the day, the part of me that wants to build something better is often simply outnumbered by the part that needs sleep and softness and one hour with no demands. So I postpone. Then I hate the postponement. Then I judge myself for not moving. Then I’m even more tired. That loop feels dangerous now. Because if I’m not careful, I will spend years blaming myself for not creating a life I never had the conditions to properly build in the first place.
