The SilenceSecrets
I am carrying truths I still do not feel safe enough to say in complete sentences
Dear Delyara, The tiredness. The resentment. The loneliness. The questions about marriage. The questions about the future. The ways I have changed. The things I can no longer keep pretending are “just a phase” or “not that deep” when my body knows better. I know those truths. What I do not yet have is a room I trust enough to place them into without immediately regretting the exposure. That is what secrecy often is for women, I think. Not drama. Not scandal. Just emotional truths that cannot yet survive the consequences of being spoken aloud in the wrong room. So they live in the body instead. Mine is crowded with them.
