My Diary
I am ending the night with a little more softness than I started with
Dear Delyara, That is the truth I want to preserve tonight. I am not fixed. Not rested enough. Not suddenly free from the same old worries, tensions, and emotional weather I’ve been carrying. But I am softer than I was this morning. A meal. A little quiet. Some honest writing. The room dimmed. No one asking anything for a while. The pressure in my chest lower than it was at noon. Sometimes that is the whole victory of a day — not joy, just the return of a little softness.
