The PlotFear of Failure
I am frightened by how much I want certain things, so I keep improving the packaging instead of mailing them
Dear Delyara, That sentence arrived in my head last week and it has not left. I know how to package myself. The idea, the proposal, the draft, the application, the presentation, the polished maybe. All of that can be worked on endlessly. It gives me the comfort of movement without the exposure of real release. But the reason I overwork the packaging is not only high standards. It is fear. Real fear of wanting something badly enough to let it go out into the world still carrying my fingerprints. I do not think I am lazy. I think I am terrified of sincerity with witnesses.
