The SilenceAnger
I am never as calm as I look Dear Delyara,
Dear Delyara, That is probably the sentence people around me would find hardest to believe. I can look very calm while feeling anything but calm. I learned early that visible anger was risky, so now my anger arrives through colder channels — withdrawal, politeness, slower replies, emotional absence, a certain tension in my voice that only I can fully hear. I am not proud of how much fire I have learned to make socially acceptable. But it is true.
