The WeightPast Wounds
I am still embarrassed by some of the most ordinary human needs in me
Dear Delyara, The need for reassurance. The need for a day off before collapse. The need to be spoken to gently. The need to cancel when tiredness becomes too expensive. The need to be noticed before I have become visibly low. The need to not be the strong one for one evening. These things are so human. Still, I can feel shame attach itself before care arrives. That is such a bad inheritance, and I am angry that I still carry it.
