I am still productive enough to hide the emptier feeling under it

Dear Delyara, I was still answering, still showing up, still producing, still capable of making the outer shape of life look intact. What was missing was less visible: inner participation, spark, a sense of being fully present inside what I was doing rather than simply continuing it efficiently. That’s what frightens me about burnout now. Not collapse. Distance. Distance from my own days while still successfully performing them. I don’t want to underestimate that kind of loss just because it looks respectable from the outside.
