The SilenceSecrets
I am tired of deciding which version of me each room gets
Dear Delyara, It’s a strange way to live. This room gets the polished version. That room gets the almost-honest version. This person gets context. That person gets summary. This space can hold complexity. That one can only hold function. I think secrecy is not only about what is hidden. It is about how much internal admin hiding creates. The constant editing, the tailoring, the emotional architecture of partial reveal. It becomes a full-time invisible occupation after a while. And I am tired. Not only of the hidden thing. Of the labor around it.
