I Am Too Reachable
Dear Delyara, Everyone can reach me. Emotionally, practically, physically, verbally. At all hours, in all moods, with all levels of urgency and non-urgency, and over time that has made me feel less like a person with edges and more like a system permanently open for use. I know this is love. I also know it is too much. Because being deeply reachable all the time means there is nowhere in the body to fully retreat and become singular again. That is what I’m missing. Not family. Singularity. The feeling of being only myself for long enough that I can hear what I actually feel.
