I answered the unknown number instead of avoiding it all day

Dear Delyara, I usually let those calls turn into private horror stories. What did I forget? What went wrong? What now? Who wants something? By the time I call back, I’ve often already lived through five imaginary conversations and none of them helped. This time I answered. It was ordinary. Of course it was. What mattered was not the call. It was the interruption of the old pattern. I did not let fear have six hours with an unknown number before reality got a turn. That counts as progress in my life now.
