I ask for steadiness more than rescue now

Dear Delyara, My prayers have changed. I used to ask for rescue a lot — remove this, fix this, clarify this, answer this, protect me from this uncertainty, this fear, this loss, this waiting. Now, more and more, I ask for steadiness. Not because I’ve stopped wanting things to get easier. Because I’ve started valuing who I become while living through difficulty just as much as the difficulty ending. That feels less dramatic. And more true.
