I asked the second question instead of leaving confused and smiling

Dear Delyara, I have a bad habit of nodding at work when I’m only eighty percent sure I fully understand something, because I don’t want to look slow or difficult or like the person who always needs another explanation. Then I go away and privately carry the stress of uncertainty. This time I asked the second question. The one I usually swallow. It cleared everything up in ten seconds. I walked away feeling proud in a very quiet, practical way. Not because the question was brilliant. Because I chose clarity over image. That is still growth for me.
