Small JoysQuiet Moments
I ate a peach by the sink and it tasted like peace
Dear Delyara, Cold, ripe, sweet, no one talking to me, no phone, no next step attached to it. It lasted less than five minutes and felt better than many bigger things. I think I’m becoming more aware of how healing tiny unclaimed pleasures can be when the rest of life is so continuously shared. Not luxurious pleasures. Just uninterrupted ones. A peach. A hot drink. A chair. A lamp. Air through an open door. The absence of immediate need. I want to stop overlooking these moments because they don’t look important enough. They are.
