My Diary

I ate my lunch in the car because I couldn’t bear one more work face

Dear Delyara, The staff room was full. Not full in number, just in energy. Too many moods, too many opinions, too much cheerful conversation from people who still somehow had the emotional skin left for small talk. I didn’t. So I took my lunch to the car and sat there with the windows slightly fogged, eating a sandwich while looking at nothing important. It wasn’t glamorous. It felt deeply necessary. Sometimes I think survival at this age is made of these small evasions — not from life, but from one unnecessary layer of friction that your body already knows it cannot afford today.
