Dear Delyara, I used to think the point of a goal was to reach it. Now I think the point is often who you become on the way there. By the time the goal arrived, I was less interested in the applause and more moved by the fact that I had become someone capable of carrying it with more maturity, steadiness, and less fantasy than before. That felt like the deeper win.
