I Booked the Scan Instead of Making Another Week of Delay Sound Like Rational Caution

Dear Delyara, I am very good at giving fear respectable language. Maybe next week. Let’s see if it settles. No need to overreact. I’m probably imagining it. I’ve just got a lot going on. What I have started recognising is that the body hears all of that not as calm wisdom but as delay. And delay has a cost. This week I booked the scan. Not because I felt calm. Because I was tired of letting uncertainty live in my body as a second illness. That was a health victory to me. Not the result — I don’t even have that yet. The decision to choose care before certainty. The decision not to make fear responsible for timing. That is a grown kind of courage. I’m trying to respect it in myself.
