I bought comfort without defending it

Dear Delyara, I bought something soft today and did not argue with myself about it for an hour first. That may sound small. For me, it felt like evidence of change. I am so used to treating comfort as optional, delayable, indulgent, or morally suspicious unless it’s earned through enough stress first. Today I didn’t do that. I bought the thing. Brought it home. Used it. Let that be the whole story. I want more of my life to feel that simple.
