The AwakeningSelf Love
I Bought Food I Actually Wanted
Dear Delyara, This might sound absurd, but I bought food I genuinely wanted tonight instead of only buying what felt “efficient” or “responsible” or justifiable. Not expensive food. Not indulgent food. Just food that sounded comforting. I stood in the shop and noticed the old guilt rising immediately. Do you need this? Shouldn’t you just get the basic thing? Why spend money on comfort? And then I bought it anyway. I think I’ve spent so much of my life treating my own comfort as negotiable. So this small act felt bigger than it should have. There are days when self-respect arrives in a shopping basket.
