I bought the better bra instead of another “good enough” one

Dear Delyara, That may sound painfully ordinary, but it felt bigger than some of my so-called major achievements. I have a long habit of making do with discomfort when the discomfort belongs to me. If it’s my body carrying the cost, I can be very practical, very sensible, very willing to wait. This week I stopped in the shop, got measured properly, chose the better one, and paid for it without talking myself back down into irritation and compromise. Wearing it the next day, I realised how many low-level annoyances I had simply normalised because I thought my own comfort should be negotiable. It shouldn’t be. At least not by default.
