I bought the better shampoo instead of the cheapest one

Dear Delyara, I almost put it back twice. Not because it was wildly expensive. Just because I still have that old habit of treating my own comfort like the first thing to cut when I’m trying to be sensible. If it’s for the children, I justify it. If it’s for me, I negotiate. This time I didn’t. I bought the one I actually wanted, the one that would make something ordinary feel a little nicer, and I didn’t let myself turn that into a moral problem. I’m learning that self-respect often hides in very small purchases and very quiet decisions.
