The SilenceLoneliness
I can be surrounded all day and still feel untouched where it counts
Dear Delyara, Work. School run. Group chat. Family. A call with my mother. Dinner with everyone around the table. It all sounds like the opposite of loneliness on paper. And yet, some days, by bedtime I feel emotionally unfed in a very clear way. I think some loneliness comes not from silence but from lack of accurate contact. So much interaction in adult life stays at the level of logistics, politeness, and acceptable emotional shape. Very little of it reaches the place where a person actually settles. That’s what I miss. Not noise. Nourishment.
