The SilenceLoneliness

I can go whole days being useful and not feel accompanied once

Dear Delyara, That is a particular loneliness. Not having nobody. Having plenty of contact and still not feeling accompanied. I can answer messages, solve things, show up, support others, keep home moving, work properly, speak to people, even be kind all day, and still by night feel that no one actually walked beside me emotionally in any meaningful way. They interacted with me, yes. They used me, gently or heavily, yes. But accompanied? No. I think that is what I’m most starved of now. Not activity. Not company. Companionship. There is a difference, and I feel it more every year.
