I Can Keep Going Long After I Stop Feeling Led
Dear Delyara, I used to think if I were off-course, I would know because everything would fall apart. Now I know you can be deeply lost and still show up on time. Still pay the bills. Still cook the meals. Still remember birthdays. Still look respectable. My life is not in chaos. That is exactly why this frightens me. I can continue through almost anything. I can make a structure work long after it stops feeding me. I can turn drift into discipline and call it maturity. I am scared of how long I could live that way if I’m not careful. Maybe I already have.
