I can lose half a day to what might happen next month
Dear Delyara, It doesn’t stay in the future. It enters the current day. I’m making tea while thinking about next month’s bills, lying in bed wondering about the next appointment, driving to work and mentally rehearsing conversations that may never happen, imagining outcomes before there is enough information to justify any of it. The hard part is that it feels useful while I’m doing it. Prepared. Responsible. It’s usually neither. It’s just fear moving furniture into rooms it doesn’t belong in yet.
