The SilenceLoneliness
I can spend a whole day around people and still feel untouched
Dear Delyara, That’s what loneliness means to me now. Not isolation. Untouchedness. I can work with people, talk to people, laugh with people, answer messages, even be loved by people — and still feel emotionally untouched by the end of the day. Not because they are unkind. Because being spoken to is not the same as being reached. I think that’s the loneliest truth I know at the moment.
