The SilenceLoneliness

I can spend a whole day speaking and still feel completely unaccompanied

Dear Delyara, That’s what loneliness means for me now. Not empty rooms. Not total isolation. Plenty of contact, very little emotional arrival. I speak to people all day. Work, children, school, messages, practical conversations, polite conversations, necessary conversations. And still there are evenings where I can feel that no one has truly been with me in the one place I most needed to be met. They interacted with me. They used me gently or heavily. They received parts of me. But accompanied? No. That difference is destroying more of my spirit than I think anyone around me fully understands.
