The UnknownLoss of Path
I can spend a whole day speaking and still feel emotionally unaccompanied by night
Dear Delyara, That is what loneliness means to me now. Not empty rooms. Full days with the wrong kind of contact. Work conversations. Family questions. School talk. Checkouts. Messages. Updates. Logistics. Small social performances. A hundred interactions. Almost no emotional arrival. By evening I can feel how untouched the real centre of me remains despite all that contact. It’s not that no one cares. It’s that so much of adult life is built from practical communication, and practical communication is not the same as being met where you actually hurt. That difference has become one of the deepest sadnesses of my life. Because it is so easy for everyone, even me, to mistake activity for connection.
