I Can’t Tell Which Pain Is Driving the Car

Dear Delyara, Is this marriage sadness? Money fear? Hormones? Burnout? Trauma? Aging? Loneliness? Grief? Anxiety? A body issue? Some mix of all of it at once? I don’t know. And because I don’t know, I don’t act. I analyze. I circle. I question. I stay up too late and try to trace one feeling back to its original source like I’m mapping a leak behind the walls. But everything is wet now. That’s the problem. And when everything hurts a little, it becomes almost impossible to be brave about any one thing.
