My Diary
I changed the sheets and felt the room forgive me
Dear Delyara, The bed looked clean, calm, ready. I wasn’t any of those things, but the room was. Sometimes the smallest acts of order reach me more deeply than bigger solutions because they give my body one place to stop bracing. One place not already asking a question. I got into bed later and felt safer than I had felt all day.
