The AwakeningSelf Love
I Chose Comfort Without Explaining It
Dear Delyara, I bought the better pillow. That’s the whole victory. Not because pillows are profound, but because I have spent so many years putting my own comfort second to practicality, cost, guilt, and the old habit of enduring more than I need to. Tonight I’m lying here thinking about how strange it is that some forms of self-love are not emotional declarations at all. They’re practical softness. A better pillow. A warmer light. A meal before hunger becomes shakiness. A boundary before resentment becomes a personality.
