My Diary
I cleaned one corner and felt less helpless
Dear Delyara, I cleaned one corner of the room tonight and felt emotionally steadier afterward. It wasn’t about tidiness. It was about proof. Proof that disorder can be moved. Proof that enough attention can change the atmosphere of a space. Proof that not everything in life is so overwhelming that it has to stay untouched until I collapse. I think when I clean in certain moods, I’m not really cleaning. I’m searching for visible evidence that care still works on something. Tonight, it did.
