My Diary
I cleaned the bathroom sink because I couldn’t clean my mood
Dear Delyara, I was irritable for reasons that did not have one clean name. Work. Hormones. Tiredness. Money. Noise. The sense of being too available to too many people for too many days in a row. Nothing dramatic enough to explain the mood fully. Everything enough to shape it. So I cleaned the sink. I scrubbed the taps, wiped the mirror, rinsed the corners, folded the hand towel straight, and for fifteen minutes I felt better because at least one thing in front of me was becoming clearer instead of more confusing. I know that’s not healing. It still helped. Sometimes practical motion is the only language my body knows when the emotional one is too crowded to speak properly.
