My Diary

I cleaned the kitchen and got angry at a spoon

Dear Delyara, It was one spoon in the sink. That’s all. But it was the last thing after a long day, and somehow it represented every small unfinished task that had landed in my hands this week. I picked it up and felt a ridiculous amount of resentment for a piece of metal. That’s the danger of exhaustion. It hides in tiny objects and waits for the wrong moment to show you how little space is left between you and overreaction.
