I could feel my face was tired before I admitted I was
Dear Delyara, I caught my reflection in a dark window tonight and realized I looked more tired than I’d let myself feel. There is something unsettling about seeing your own strain before you consciously register it. My face looked like someone who had been carrying too much quietly. Which, to be fair, is probably accurate. I think we hold more than we know. The body always seems to understand before language does.
