I could feel the care without arguing with the form all night
Dear Delyara, That feels like progress. The form still wasn’t ideal. The language still wasn’t the exact one my body rests under most easily. And yet, I could feel the care clearly enough that I didn’t spend the rest of the evening fighting the delivery in my head. That softening in me matters. It doesn’t erase old grief. It gives me more room around it. And room is often what peace first looks like. I’m grateful for that room.
