I could receive the concern without needing the language to be perfect first

Dear Delyara, That may be one of the more generous things I’ve learned lately. The concern still comes imperfectly sometimes. Wrapped in the usual old forms. But this week I was able to receive it more directly without getting stuck in the ways it wasn’t exactly what I’d wanted for years. I don’t think that means the old grief is gone. It means the grief now shares the room with something else: the ability to notice what is still real in the care, even when the form remains incomplete. That feels mature in a peaceful way. And I’m grateful for it.
